Post about Brett’s birthday mostly for myself but you can read if you’re interested!

I didn’t actually have an opportunity to take a photo of his presents, I’ve been pretty slack with my digital camera since being here, mine broke on the flight over and I bought a new one but mostly I’ve been using my film cameras.

I also made him a cherry pie and wrote “Fate Fell Short” on his wall in glow in the dark stars (which is a lyric from Feeling This if you don’t know, and if you follow me you SHOULD.)

We went out to dinner with his family to the Old Spaghetti Factory and omg it was so deliciously carb-y. We went home and his sister had given him the new Zelda game so he played that until his friends came over. We started drinking and talking and then we went to the Druid which is Brett’s favourite bar, and his sister and all his friends were there and we hung out with them and I took instant photos with my diana which always goes down well. Then we went to this bar called Oil City Roadhouse, which is a place where Brett MCs sometimes, so he got us in for free AND got us free drinks. Basically it was full of drunk young people grinding on each other to country music/also popular music and it was hilarious, we danced and laughed at all the trashy people and then left. We walked home and went via some place that sells Donairs, which is like a Canadian version of a Kebab/Souvlaki and I also got an ice tea and it was just perfect and so fucking delicious for the level of drunk I was. We said goodbye, then Brett and I walked home and realised it was 2am on the 17th and that it was our 9 month anniversary.

Today we went and saw Tintin and I have about a thousand things I could say about it because I grew up reading/watching Tintin and I still do but that is probably for another post. So yeah. It was pretty much a wonderful day and I love my boyfriend and the last 24 hours has been freaking great.
